IATF Training Course 16949: 2016 - QMS Quality Management System Automotive
VINTECOM International has officially launched the IATF 16949: 2016 Training Course - Automotive QMS Quality Management System Standard and related service parts of the Organization at Hyundai Kefico Company (Korea) to qualify for the Global automotive parts and components supply chain.
IATF is an association of automotive manufacturers and their respective National Automotive Industry Associations established to provide improved quality products to all automotive customers worldwide
The purpose of IATF was established as:
To develop consensus on basic international QMS requirements, primarily for direct suppliers of raw materials, products, components or finishing services (e.g. heat treatment, painting and plating). The IATF members include the following vehicle manufacturers:
- BMW Group, Ford Motor Company, Geely Holding Group, General Motors, IVECO Group, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Limited
- Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Renault Group, Stellantis (ex FCA), Stellantis (ex PSA), Volkswagen AG
- and their respective National Automotive Industry Associations – AIAG (USA), ANFIA (Italy), FIEV (France), SMMT (UK) and VDA (Germany).

- Elimination of waste is the key to efficiency – in an Automotive QMS means:
Managing a range of non-value-added activities is one of the key principles of the Just-in-time system, the main pillar of the IATF 16949 Automotive QMS.
The IATF 16949 Automotive QMS standard sets out the quality management system requirements within an organization from the design and development phase (PPAP, APQP), trial and series production and, where relevant, assembly, installation and service of automotive-related products including products with embedded software.
The IATF 16949:2016 Automotive QMS Standard applies to the locations of an organization where parts, components and services and/or customer-identified parts and components are produced.
In addition, the IATF 16949:2016 Standard specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization:
a) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer requirements in the automotive supply chain as well as applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; and
b) wants to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and product safety.
To meet these requirements, Hyundai Kefico has officially cooperated with VINTECOM International in organizing a training course to implement the Automotive QMS Production System according to IATF 16949 standards, including the implementation of core tools to control the automotive QMS system such as: PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, 8D, JIT, TPM, CpK...
