Consulting and Training for Green Buildings LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is a certificate for green buildings issued by the American Green Building Council, born in 1995 in the US. This is a pioneering international standard on the issue of building energy-saving buildings and protecting human living environment.
To receive LEED certification, constructions need to comply with the standards of energy saving and creating a green environment such as increasing drainage efficiency, reducing emissions, improving living environment quality, increase the adaptability of the building to environmental changes and optimal use of renewable energy sources. In addition, in order to obtain certifications with different levels such as Silver, Gold or Platinum certificates, construction projects need to accumulate more points corresponding to the criteria of the LEED evaluation system that the applicants must obtain. 100 total points are available. A minimum of 40 points are required for certification and more points get you higher levels of certification:
 Certified: 40-49 points
 Silver: 50-59
 Gold: 60-79
 Platinum: 80+
The USGBC's Leed rating system is based on the following six criteria to evaluate a green architecture:
