➡️ The Good Storage Practices (GSP) standard issued by the Ministry of Health is based on the principles of the World Health Organization (WHO), but has adjustments suitable for domestic conditions. Below are the main requirements of the GSP standard that the applying organization must comply with:
1. Quality management system
There must be a quality management system to ensure that drugs are stored properly, safely, and avoid affecting quality.
Documents and records on drug storage must be complete, scientific, and easy to access.
There must be a process for risk assessment and quality control of goods in the warehouse.
2. Facilities and storage conditions
The storage warehouse must have a suitable design, ensuring criteria for temperature, humidity and storage conditions.
There must be separate areas for storing different types of drugs:
Specially stored drugs (such as drugs requiring cold storage).
Damaged drugs, expired drugs, recalled drugs.
Toxic drugs, psychotropic drugs, special controlled drugs.
Have a fireproof, moisture-proof, termite-proof and insect-proof system.
3. Temperature and humidity control
Temperature and humidity must be controlled and monitored regularly, with automatic monitoring equipment if necessary.
Keep records of temperature and humidity monitoring and take measures when storage conditions do not meet requirements.
4. Personnel
Employees must have appropriate qualifications, be trained in drug storage, labor safety, fire prevention and fighting.
Have a person in charge of the profession with a degree according to the provisions of law.
5. Goods storage and management process
Apply the FIFO (First In - First Out) or FEFO (First Expired - First Out) principle.
Fully record information on warehouse import and export, keep clear records.
Periodically check the warehouse, detect expired drugs, damaged drugs, drugs with signs of counterfeiting.
Discarded drugs must be isolated and handled according to regulations.
6. Product safety and protection
Have measures to prevent loss, loss or counterfeiting of drugs.
Ensure that drugs are not cross-contaminated or damaged by environmental or human factors.
The warehouse must have a security control system, surveillance cameras if necessary.
7. Transport and distribution
