LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) is the Standard in Energy and Environmental Design used for certification for green buildings issued by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) established in 1995 in America.
This is a pioneering international standard on the issue of building energy-saving buildings and protecting human living environment.
To receive LEED certification, constructions need to comply with standards for energy saving and creating a green environment such as:
Increase the efficiency of drainage, reduce emissions, improve the quality of the living environment, increase the adaptability of the building to the change of the environment and use renewable energy sources optimally.
For the assessment, the Leed certification work must define a specific 1-year period (365 consecutive days) known as the reporting period for your LEED v4.1 O+M certification. This reporting period will be used to calculate each of the five performance points using performance data uploaded to the Leeds Online system.
Leeds Certification Activities
GBCI - The Green Building Council of America, the certification body for the LEED rating system, will conduct the certification audit.

100 total points are available. A minimum of 40 points are required for certification and more points get you higher levels of certification:
 Certified: 40-49 points
 Silver: 50-59
 Gold: 60-79
 Platinum: 80+
Because buildings and interior spaces are different, they have different sets of requirements and points available.
Your first LEED v4.1 O+M certification is valid for three years from the date it was accepted.
To maintain certification, projects need to provide annual data and must re-certify every three years.
